Pastoral Support
As a church we recognise that at times we can all face difficult circumstances. Sometimes we need to support others and sometimes we need to receive support. Pastoral Care can take many forms and is a constantly growing area of ministry as we seek to love each other well. We have a team who can offer you support, encouragement or a listening ear.

Baptisms
Baptism is recognised across all the major Christian churches as the point of entry into membership of the church. At Ballywalter Parish we offer thanksgiving and baptism services for babies and younger children, together with baptism and confirmation for teenagers and adults. These baptisms can be by the font in either Ballywalter or Balligan church, of by full immersion. Please get in touch if you want to discuss this significant moment in life a little further.
Weddings
Churches are special and unique places to get married in - the prayers, promises and the whole service of celebration become part of your marriage, on the day itself and beyond. Seeking God’s blessing and His help and guidance in your new life together is the main attraction for many couples and we can make the occasion personal to you. Contact us for a booking form and then we can chat about how we can help in realising your special day.
We can also offer special services for the renewal of vows, which some couples like to use to mark significant wedding anniversaries.
Funerals
Every person living within the parish has the right to have their funeral in either Holy Trinity (Ballywalter) or St Andrews (Balligan), regardless of whether they have any prior connection with the parish or not. If you would like to have a church funeral for your loved one, then make your wishes known to the undertaker and contact us. We are here for you, and will gladly support you through this challenging season of grief.
