11am

1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th Sundays

We meet in Holy Trinity Church, Ballywalter.

Refreshments are served from 10.30am; a chance to meet other visitors, regulars and church leaders before the service starts. Then at 11am all ages gather together and we begin with a childrens action song before they leave for their group in the adjacent hall. Our service continues with a mix of traditional and contemporary songs, prayer, Bible readings and teaching.

11am

4th Sundays

Every 4th Sunday we run Café Church at 11am in our Parochial Hall; which is at the other end of Ballywalter village

Here we meet round tables, share food, sing, do activities, pray and learn from the Bible. It is very child friendly and family focused so why not give it a try?

3:30pm

2nd Sundays

On the 2nd Sunday of every month at 3:30pm we have an traditional service of said evening prayer in St. Andrew’s church, Balligan.

There is something special about worshiping in this candlelit setting where Christians have gathered for over 300 years.

6pm

1st and 3rd Sundays

At 6pm on the 1st and 2nd Sunday evenings we have our HTB6 worship gathering in Holy Trinity Church, Ballywalter. An informal time of contemporary sung worship, prayer, testimony, Bible reading and teaching. There are refreshments after the service when everyone is encouraged to mingle and make new friends. Some people also use this time to receive prayer.

Personal Greeting

If you would like someone to meet you outside, before any of our gatherings, then get in touch. We can link you up with someone who will show you around and make to feel relaxed. They can also stay with you throughout the service in case you have questions.

Parking

Holy Trinity Church

There is free parking at HT. To enter the church grounds come in the gate that appears to lead to The Old Vicarage B&B, ignoring the sign that says it is a private driveway. Take the first right and the church and carpark are straight ahead. If the main carpark is full, then drive through the gap in the wall and additional parking is available beside our minor hall and garage.

Please don’t park in the grounds of the B&B and keep their rear access gate clear too.

Parochial Hall
There is a free public carpark adjacent to the Parochial Hall.

Balligan
At Balligan you have to park on the road, which is fairly quiet, but please be considerate to our neighbours.

Accessibility

Our churches and parochial hall are fully wheelchair & pushchair friendly. If you need assistance then please let us know in advance or speak to someone at the door on the day.

Toilets

Holy Trinity Church

At Holy Trinity church the toilets are in our minor hall. This is accessed by going back out the main door of the church, round the building to your left, through the gap in the wall and up a couple of steps into our minor hall. Ladies toilets are immediately on your right, and gents on the left.

Parochial Hall

Our Parochial hall has an accessible toilet and baby change facilities in the entrance lobby. Additional ladies and gents toilets are located off the main hall and are clearly signposted.

Balligan

Unfortunately there are no toilets at Balligan church, (but we are working to address this!). If in desperation then our neighbour is happy to let people use her toilet. (The house immediately on your left as you go out the church gate.)

Kids & Youth

We are a multi-generational church, and that means investing in our young people so that they grow deeper in their love for Jesus and his church.

We run a Sunday Club during our 11am services in Holy Trinity church. This group is for children aged 4-14 and is run by our wonderful team of volunteers who value young people and their spiritual formation. (All volunteers that have completed child safeguarding training and Access NI checks).

We are a child-friendly church. Children and babies are welcome in the service and there is an activities to keep them occupied. We don’t mind a little noise and feel free to let them explore. If at any time you feel that you need to take a child out then there is a room in our minor hall where you can sit and let them play.

We also run a Youth Alpha course specifically aimed at those of secondary school age.

YOUNG ADULTS AND FAMILIES

Introducing Ards Connect

Ards Connect aims to be a spiritual home and place of belonging for young adults and young families on the Ards Peninsula who currently don’t have a church of their own. By offering a welcoming and relaxed space for youth and those in their 20s and 30s to gather and belong, we want to see them grow in faith as they encounter God through worship, Bible teaching, discussion and mentoring.

ARDS CONNECT

Why is this needed?

Many churches on the Peninsula do not have a critical mass of young adults. Consequently, there is a shortage of Christian ministries which speak into the life situations that they encounter. Although young people often live frenetic lives, they can nevertheless experience isolation, loneliness and mental health issues. We believe that the gospel can speak into those circumstances.

ARDS CONNECT

How will we do this?

Build relationships

Seek to build relationships with young people living in the Ards Peninsula

Create a safe space

where they can engage with the Christian faith through evangelistic outreach, contemporary informal worship, Alpha courses, mentoring and discipleship

Welcome all

Welcome youth, young adults and young families into a Christian community where they can belong, experience God’s love and hear God’s word;

Support young Christians

on their faith journey through mid-week Life Groups and discipleship courses; and,

Leadership roles

Identify, mentor and nurture young Christians to take on leadership roles within this new ministry and to bless their local communities through service.

“God is working in the Ards Peninsula and we need to be sensitive to that. I believe that God is calling a generation to lead a fresh move of the Holy Spirit that will see lives transformed and the captives set free.”
